We are a dynamic and innovative medical device startup developing a point-of-care portable blood coagulation testing device. Our quickly growing team is seeking a versatile professional to join us as a Lab Technician.  

Job Summary: 
We are looking for an experienced Lab Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline as well as 1-3 years of experience in related fields. The candidate must have familiarity with operating laboratory equipment and instruments. It is strongly desired that they will have previous experience as a lab technician in a research setting. The successful candidate will work closely with our team in conducting clinical research on blood coagulation prototypes. This role involves operating devices to perform testing, collecting and reporting data, and providing essential support in the documentation and communication of research findings.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Operate and ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of devices.  
  • Conduct experiments and tests as directed by the Medical Scientist.  
  • Collect, record, and organize data generated from device testing.  
  • Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and reagents.  
  • Assist in the preparation and generation of reports based on research findings.  
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results.  
  • Contribute to the creation of documentation for internal use and regulatory compliance.  
  • Collaborate closely with our team in day-to-day tasks.   
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and data exchange.  
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on lab activities.  
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper function of laboratory equipment.  
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly.  
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks relevant to startup operations and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline).   
  • Familiarity with operating laboratory equipment and instruments.  
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.  
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.  
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.  
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a lab technician in a research setting is desirable.
